Panoscope

Festival Excentrique Reception Area

Panoscope is an interactive scenic design installation made in 2013 that also served as the reception area for Festival Excentrique. Evoking the itinerant nature of the festival and playing with the idea of land, the company produced a map of the Centre region in various forms.

Tables were made in the shape of each department and placed under a large canvas tent designed with the region’s cartography. The audience and visitors were able to explore the territory through the animations created by vintage optical machines, and at night fall, through shadow and light games.
