Panoscope

Premiered in May 2013 at the Festival Excentrique

Panoscope was an interactive scenic design installation and shadow theatre performance that also served as the 2013 Festival Excentrique reception area. Evoking the itinerant nature of the festival and playing on the idea of a territory, the company produced a multiform map of the Centre Region.

Tables were built in the shape of each department and placed under a large canvas tent designed with the cartography of the region. The audience and visitors could explore the territory through the animations created by vintage optical machines and, at night, through shadow and light games.
