From May to June 2018, Les ombres portées travelled to South Korea.

The company was invited to give 6 performances of its show Les somnambules. It was also the occasion to celebrate the company’s 100th performance. A tour was organised for two cities in the Greater Seoul area, with performances at the Uijeongbu Music Theatre Festival and the Gwangmyeong Theatre.

Audience meet-and-greets were held after each performance and the company led a two-day shadow theatre workshop with Korean artists, actors, musicians, set designers, etc.

The company also took advantage of the trip to discover different Korean artistic disciplines (music, pansori, talchum, calligraphy, etc.).

The tour was supported by the Institut Français de Paris and the City of Paris.
